The Inter-departmental Postgraduate Programme “Philosophical, Pedagogical and Interdisciplinary Anthropology” (Government Gazette 3796/15-10-2019) ran from the academic year 2019-20 to the academic year 2023-24. It offers systematic specialisation in the fields of “Philosophical, Pedagogical and Interdisciplinary Anthropology”:

The Programme trains and specialises students in Philosophy, Education, Theology, Economics and Architecture. Through it, the four schools of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki aim to train scientists who deeply understand the logical relationships and interactions between philosophical thought, the sciences and artistic creation, so as to break down the barriers often thought to exist between different research fields and to bring out the unity of philosophy, science and art. The philosophical, pedagogical and interdisciplinary approach to this goal has as its central subject the human being: human nature, thought and action, across the full range of their dimensions.

The purpose of the Programme is to cultivate and advance scientific knowledge and research in the above fields; to meet the educational, research, social, cultural and developmental needs of the country; to train high-level scientists able to produce original scientific work both in theory and in practice, as applied knowledge in Philosophical, Pedagogical and Interdisciplinary Anthropology; and to produce and pass on knowledge, know-how, methodological tools and research results in the scientific fields of the collaborating schools of the humanities and sciences.

The Programme is open to graduates of schools of the humanities and sciences of the University. It also aims to train young scientists who, whether they work in education or in other (more theoretical) positions, or in roles that promote primary research and innovation, will have a deep knowledge of the hidden connections between Philosophy, Science and Art.

The Inter-departmental Postgraduate Programme “Philosophical, Pedagogical and Interdisciplinary Anthropology” leads to a Postgraduate Diploma of Specialisation. Its minimum duration is four (4) semesters and it cannot exceed six (6) semesters. It leads to the Postgraduate Diploma of Specialisation in Philosophical, Pedagogical and Interdisciplinary Anthropology.
